BWT Retro-Fit ,,MS ANNA LEHMANN‘‘

After the successful installation of the ballast water treatment system of type OBS 334-370 from the BWTS manufacturer Optimarin on board ,,MS KARIN LEHMANN’’ in May 2020, HB Hunte Engineering was happy to receive the information from shipping company Lehmann that also the sister vessel ,, MS ANNA LEHMANN’’ has been retro-fitted without problems and in short time with the before mentioned system in July.
HB Hunte Engineering provided the Basic- and Detail Engineering as well as the electro-technical planning  for the retro-fit.
The by HB Hunte Engineering applied 3D Scan Technology offers the great advantage related to projects where sister ships are existent, that the piping model of the first ship can be transferred into the 3D Scan point cloud taken on board the sister vessel, deviations of structures and piping can be verified and the fabrication documentation adapted accordingly, this methodology is significantly reducing the required efforts and costs.
